Year 4 - Exploring the world of rocks!
In Year 4 this week during science we have been focusing on comparing and grouping rocks.
We initially organised the rocks into groups on our tables and thought of titles, such as black, grey, white, shiny, small, large and crumbly. We then thought about the properties of rocks such as their hardness, flexibility, whether they were waterproof or rough/smooth and reorganised our rocks ordering them from hardest to softest. We discussed that rocks were not as simple to group as we first thought.
